Confidentiality 

 All information shared in therapy is treated as confidential. Information will only be shared outside sessions with your consent, except in the following circumstances: risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else, in cases where I am bound by a court of law a judge has the authority to request counselling notes, where the law requires me to inform the authorities of terrorist activity, drug or people trafficking or the abuse of a child or vulnerable person . 

I attend regular clinical supervision, this is in line with BACP requirements, supervision ensures that my work is regularly reviewed, ensures client interest is protected, and that our work is meeting your needs. Client confidentiality is paramount, and your anonymity is respectfully retained. 

Professional standards 

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to strict ethical boundaries, guidelines, and codes of ethics. 

Records and Data Protection 

 All session notes are stored securely and kept for 7 years in compliance with GDPR. You have the right to access your data, request corrections, or withdraw consent for processing. I am registered with the information commissioner's office (ICO), this ensures that I comply with data protection requirements. 

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled, I would welcome the opportunity to resolve your concerns.
